3 Reasons Why I Moved to Canada:

Heyyy there! As you may have guessed from the title, I am a Canadian immigrant/ Island girl currently living in Canada 12 years now. Now, some of you might be wondering, "Why on earth would anyone want to move to Canada from the tropical island of Jamaica with lots of sunshine, sand and sea?" I know because I get this question all the time.

First of all I had never been to Canada before and I had no experience of what it would be like living here, anyways I took the risk to explore in FAITH because I felt there was more to my life!

Well, let me tell you, there are plenty of reasons, but here are my top 3 reasons:

1 —

I wanted more FREEDOM:

One of the main reasons why I moved to Canada was to achieve freedom, I felt STUCK and I felt mentally, emotionally and financially TRAPPED.

My goal was to achieve financial freedom which meant being able to live comfortably and pursue my dreams without being tied down by financial constraints. In Canada, this can be achieved through various means, such as saving money, investing in the stock market, starting a business, or working in a high-paying job.

Personal freedom which meant having the ability to live my life according to my own values, beliefs, and desires. In Canada, personal freedom is protected by the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, which guarantees fundamental freedoms, such as freedom of conscience and religion, freedom of thought, belief, opinion, and expression, freedom of peaceful assembly, and freedom of association.

Education Freedom: Education freedom meant having access to quality education and being able to choose the type of education that best fits our needs and goals. In Canada, education is highly valued, and there are various options for pursuing education, including public schools, private schools, and universities.

Career Freedom: Career freedom meant being able to explore other career path that aligns with my interests and passions. In Canada, there are various career opportunities in a wide range of fields, including healthcare, technology, finance, and more.

Mobility Freedom: Mobility freedom meant having the ability to travel and move freely within and outside of Canada. Canada is a vast country, and there are many opportunities to explore its diverse regions and cultures. Additionally, Canadians enjoy the freedom to travel to many other countries around the world without visa restrictions.

Overall, achieving freedom in Canada requires a combination of personal responsibility, hard work, and making use of the resources and opportunities available in this country.

2 —

More opportunities

Another reason why I moved to Canada was to create more opportunities for myself and my daughter. Canada is a prosperous country with a strong economy, offering a wide range of job opportunities in various sectors such as technology, finance, healthcare, and education.

Furthermore, Canada has a robust immigration system that allows skilled workers, entrepreneurs, and investors to enter the country and contribute to its economy. As someone who is multi-passionate and creative, I wanted to explore other income potential opportunities, such as entrepreneurship and create job opportunities in my career, Canada was the perfect place to do so.

A better Life

Lastly, I moved to Canada to create a happier, healthier, wealthier life. Canada is consistently ranked as one of the happiest and healthiest countries in the world, with high standards of living, excellent education and healthcare systems, and a diverse and inclusive society.

Moreover, Canada has a strong social safety net that provides support for its citizens in times of need, including employment insurance, retirement benefits, and child benefits. This means that I can live a comfortable life, pursue my passions, and enjoy the many benefits of living in Canada.

I then started praying, asking the Lord for direction. With no surprise God answered my prayers and created the way forward to Canada, I applied and started the process of the Canadian Federal Skilled workers program in FAITH.

I went ahead and I sold all my furniture in Jamaica and I migrated with my three-year-old daughter and 4 suitcases. We arrived in Canada in Spring April 2011.

It was a journey, it was a lot of mindset work, I started from the bottom..

And here I am 12 years after experiencing my success journey, the secret sauce to my success journey was to focus on 1 goal at a time.

In conclusion, I moved to Canada to achieve freedom, create more opportunities, and create a happier, healthier, wealthier life for daughter and myself. Canada has been an excellent choice for me, and I'm grateful for the many opportunities and benefits that this country has provided.

Canada is an excellent choice for anyone looking to achieve freedom, create more opportunities, and live a better life. Whether you're a skilled worker, entrepreneur, or investor, Canada's welcoming and inclusive society provides a range of opportunities to start anew. I'm grateful for the many benefits that Canada has provided me and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to start a new life.
